Los Angeles-based saxophonist Charles Burns has played, recorded and studied with such notable musicians as Cecil Taylor, Plas Johnson, Barbara Morrison, James Gadson, Michael Carvin, Bob Sheppard, Ralph Lalama, Ron McClure and John Gunther. A recipient of the Louis Armstrong Jazz Award, and a Magna cum Laude graduate of New York University, Charles is equally at home with jazz, blues and funk.
